Individual Therapy
Opening up and discussing what has been bothering you is difficult. It helps when you can be genuine and authentic without fear of judgement or criticism. I aim to help you feel seen; to feel supported in your goals and in your person-hood.
Everyone deserves dignity and respect. Everyone has different needs. I aim to embrace those ideas in session. YOU are the expert on you. I am just the tool to be utilized to help you achieve the life you want.

What Does a Session Look Like?
Typically a session will be 53 minutes on a weekly basis. The appointment time that you schedule will be your designated spot, unless discussed ahead of time and we reschedule. Appointment length can also be discussed and adjusted as needed.
I do require a 48 hour notice of cancellation and do charge a no show/late cancellation fee, if appointments are not rescheduled. Why? To help me maintain my own cost of living, due to this being my livelihood. Obviously exceptions can be made and discussed at time of cancellation. I do require a credit card on file.

A Bit of Structure
I have a person-centered approach to therapy. I do not have one specific theory that I follow, although I am a big fan of ACT. I do also utilize CBT techniques and am happy to work with you if you require more structure/homework.

A Bit of Whimsy
I find that everyone needs a bit of play in their lives. Being a self proclaimed Geek and an intrinsically creative person, I find utilizing play in the therapeutic setting to be the most natural thing. Play is considered to be the first language and form of self expression we have as a species. Using this idea, along with patience, humor, and a kind, helping hand can ease the anxieties of being vulnerable so you can focus on the issues that are troubling you.
